I'm a huge Alexa Chung fan. I love her style and her book is great. So after a lot of Pinterest searching of her I decided to just go and get my hair cut to that length too. And I love it! My hair is naturally wavy and I thought going short would make it bounce up too much but it's just how I wanted it to be.

HAIR CUT
Last week I took the plunge and got a lot of my hair cut off. I spent so long trying to get it long but I have been getting bored and even after 2 and a half years of not dying my hair, it was still growing out and I've always hated that it looked like I'd dip dyed it.

REVIEW: ALEXA CHUNG "IT"
A slightly different type of review from the usual today, in the form of a book review. I am by no means a book worm. I wish I read more but I don't. But when I heard about Alexa penning her own book I was very excited and when it landed on the doorstep I started reading it straight away and powered straight through it.
The book is not an autobiography, as such, but more about Alexa's style evolution and inspiration mixed in with tips and tricks and her own drawings.
Not everyone is a fan but I have loved her ever since I first saw her back in the day on T4's Popworld. I adore her style so to have a book about how Alexa gets that style was very exciting for me.
It starts of when she was a child and her love for horse riding and the clothes she wore for that. She talks through an array of her style icons of whom she takes inspiration from when she gets dressed in a morning. They range from the obvious choices of Kate Moss and Anna Karina to the likes of Wednesday Addams (a fine choice) and even Jeremy Irons! (Seriously. You have to read this book if you're an Alexa fan and lover of fashion.)
Alexa gives advice throughout on dressing for "occasions" such as going to the gym and a festival as well as beauty tips and help for choosing what to wear in the morning. I have found myself post-it noting up
way too many pages that I'm more than sure I will be referring back to on a weekly basis going forward.
I really enjoyed this book and Alexa's writing style and I'd love to see her write again in the future.
There's a part in the book when Alexa talks about heartbreak and in it she shares some advice given to her from her mother. That "chapter" (I put in inverted commas as the books isn't split into chapter) ends like this and it actually made me tear up.
I even tweeted about it and she replied to me! If you read this Alexa (HA), in a very fangirl way you made me very happy. Even though you deleted the tweet (because I assume of the typo).

DRESS LIKE...ALEXA CHUNG
It's not been that long since my last one of these posts but I was quite in the mood to do another and I also couldn't believe I've done a good handful of these posts now and still not done one for Alexa Chung. I hate to use this expression, but I know she's very much a "marmite person". I personally love her! Ever since I first saw her back in the day on T4. She looks amazing all the time. She has the best clothes and I'm forever jealous of her.
BY DAY
Alexa pretty much is always relatively casually dressed. She's very much a lover of the ol' printed tee and denim shorts combo and then giving it a quirky twist with some socks and sandals.
BY NIGHT
For when she attends events, Alexa often injects a bit of extra colour into her outfits whilst still looking effortlessly chic. The makeup colours in particular are perfect for Spring/Summer.

BRITISH FASHION AWARDS 2012
An annual event that takes place in London, the British Fashion Awards celebrate the best in the industry from the very best designers to the hottest models of the year.
I'm so pleased with the winners of this years awards. My favourite, Alexa Chung, got a hat trick by winning the British Style Award for the third year on the bounce and she looked incredible. She wore a beautiful Simone Rocha dress and fabulous statement heels by Nicholas Kirkwood. I adore her style; so effortless, chic and classy.
Cara Delevigne took home Model of the Year. Before this year I hadn't really known anything of her but I noticed her popping up on several London Fashion week catwalks this past season, including the Burberry Prorsum show, and she pulls everything off brilliantly. A definite worthy winner. She even wore one of the metallic green Burberry dresses for the show.
Other big winners of the night included Erdem, who won New Establishment Award and JW Anderson who won the Emerging Talent Award: Ready-To-Wear which, presumably was helped by his amazing Topshop collection earlier this year.
The big award of the night is Designer of the Year which was won by Stella McCartney (who also won Designer Brand) on the night. She was wearing one of her own strapless jumpsuit designs to the awards.
I love Princess Beatrice's Erdem dress! So beautiful and classy.
And here is the full list of winners of this years BFAs. Do you agree with them?

Her post-award interview is great. She seems so down-to-earth and fun!
