A SPENDY, LAZY WEEKEND

Since before Christmas, I've been a bot poorly. I kept getting a bit better and then falling back down. But I'm feeling back to normal now and felt like I needed to treat myself. Along with being poorly, I was changing department at work and at the same time as doing my job I've been training my replacement so work have been pretty crazy. So the weekend was approaching and I was feeling spendy and my eyebrows needed sorting badly so I got up on Saturday and took myself in to town. I hate going shopping on a Saturday. I just can't cope with people being slow. So I try to go as early as I can force myself to get out of bed to avoid midday madness.
I was only out for two hours but my card was on fire by the time I got home...

MINI SUPERDRUG HAUL

After The Body Shop event the other day I needed to go to Superdrug quickly for a few last minute presents and so obviously I thought I needed treating too...
I needed to restock on a couple of things but really I just can't help myself. I haven't included the presents I bought but here's what new to my collection...

DRUGSTORE BEAUTY HAUL

Why hello there lovelies! Sorry I have become a stranger once again. A mix of bloggers block and then getting really poorly. Not sure what happened to me but I got home from work one day and just had a turn and just couldn't get out of bed for a few days.
I'm feeling better now and I thought I'd treat myself with a little trip to Boots. I've not actually had a spendy moment for a while and being ill is the perfect excuse to change that!

A LITTLE BOOTS HAUL

Thought I'd leave the Sunday Loving post for this week. It's been a bit of a quiet one and I had a cheeky little peruse of Boots yesterday so I thought I'd show you what I bought.

I went to Boots as I needed dry shampoo and deodorant because I'm going to London for a few days tomorrow! (P.s. never been before, please leave me any tips or recommendations of what I should do!) Now, I could have gone to Tesco or even the tiny Boots that would take me 5 minutes to walk to. I didn't do this. Instead I drove for 25 minutes to the biggest one that's near me...

BEAUTY HAULIN'!

So I may have been a little bit naughty and in a very short amount of time I have spent a littttttttle bit of money. Not that i need to justify this but I haven't really spent anything for a while and it's my birthday tomorrow so i think a few treats are okay!
I have only purchased some of these things today so I can't give any full reviews but I'm sure they'll feature at some point in my Review Posts.

WEEKEND HAUL

This time next week I'll be in Saint Petersburg in Russia, most likely complaining about how cold my entire body is. This weekend I made a little trip over to see my friend Katie for an afternoon of Wetherspoons, cinema and a mooch of the shops and today I headed to the retail park to pick up some last minute bits for Russia.
Though obviously, the majority of my purchases didn't end up being travelling related...

Jeans; Dorothy Perkins | Tees; both New Look

I figure I can't very well wear tights and dresses in Russia so I've had to buy some jeans. I know from working there previously, the Dorothy Perkins ones are good quality and don't make me feel trapped and uncomfy. They also had 30% off today! And then I got some long sleeved tees from New Look for layering. So happy with finding a black and white striped instead of navy. I can never find black stripes!

Candle; The Range | Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser | Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush

I absolutely love The Range. I don't know how common they are because the nearest one is where my friend lives and that's a 30 minute train journey. But it is just the best place. I picked up this double wick candle for about £3.50 in Vanilla Cupcake - so lovely!
Obviously, I can't go shopping without getting make up. I got this new primer from Maybelline which I am guessing is going to be similar to Benefit's POREfessional. The packaging is even quite similar colour wise. And I've been after a new brush for my gel eyeliner and Real Techniques never let me down so this also got thrown in the basket.

 Shoes; Topshop

I have LIVED in my cut out New Look boots since around September time and although it's still quite cold, I saw these flats and new I had to have them. I'm not usually a fan of patent as no matter how hard I try, I scuff the life out of them. They're super comfy and I love the tiger detail on the front. I thought they were quite reasonable for £24 too.

 Rucksack; New Look

I was keen to get a rucksack for my hand luggage for when I go away and I was thinking there'd be more on offer but alas there wasn't. I do like this one from New Look though and it has a few different pockets so it will do the job.

L'Oréal True Match Foundation C1 Rose Ivory | Beanie; New Look

(So I forgot to photograph these and so they got their own photo!)

The foundation purchase was a total impulse buy. I literally walked up to the stand, looked at the shades and put it in the basket. No thought. I've worn it today and the colour is perfect! Really like the finish and how easily it blends too. I'll probably do a review in a few weeks after a good few uses.
The beanie is from New Look and was in the sale for £1. Again, more impulse but I'll be able to take it to Russia to keep my ears warm. They had loads of other colours too.

Have you been indulging in retail therapy lately?

RETAIL THERAPY

I've been feeling pretty stressed and rubbish this week. I injured my knee a few years ago and the last couple of days it flared up again and I've been in a bit of pain so I woke up today and decided to take myself to town before the huge rush of people got there in the afternoon. Of course, on my journey to town my body decided it was the perfect time to just get a cold. Thanks life. You are great. So then I knew I'd doubly have to treat myself in order to feel better. Obviously.

I have cut out the boring bits like tights and repurchases of lip balm, concealer and cleansing water and I'll just show you the exciting bits!
I made a bee line straight to Topshop once I got to town...

You may recognise these two items off the wishlist I posted a few days ago. I had every intention of getting the striped top but I wasn't overly bothered about finding the jumper and then I saw it on a display table and it felt so soft and lovely that I had to go try it on. And then I fell in love, the end.
I was worried I wouldn't like the top of because of the sleeves. I don't usually like the half sleeve but I felt really comfortable in this (and I felt very Alexa too!) so looking forward to styling this up.
I was very impressed with Topshop today. On my last few visits I haven't been blown away but I could have bought so many things today.

These boots were also mentioned on the wishlist I recently posted. I knew I needed these. I mean, my current black boots are letting rain in and that isn't cool! I was very upset that my size wasn't on the shelf and no matter how hard I tried, my foot was not going in the size 5. It was very reminiscent of the scene from Cinderella when the stepsisters try to make the glass slipper fit. I asked a lady in the shop and they had none in the back but then glistening away, I saw them on a display shelf in my size. Pretty sure hearts flew out of my eyes. With the way they come up the ankle, they make your legs look amazing too! And I think they're an absolute steal at £27.99

My skin has been getting me really bogged down recently, which in turn is probably not helping matters. Someone told me they have been using the tea tree range from The Body Shop and it has really helped so I toddled off there next. Rachel, who I met at the North West Blogger meet up, was working there and gave me some advice and twisted my arm by telling me there was 3 for 2 across the store. (Okay, so she didn't need to twist my arm that much. Or at all. I'm a sucker for offers!) I picked up a toner, face wash and night lotion all for £14. Excited to see if they help my skin.

I got this bag last week but I had to show it because I am so in love. I got it from Dorothy Perkins and it is beautiful. I've been after a smaller bag because usually I have ones that I can fit my entire life into and my back has decided that I must be punished for doing so. I got this when they were offering 25% off (and I still talk to the girls I used to work with there so she bought it for me to get extra discount, sshh!) but I would happily have paid full price for it. I think full price is £22.

New goodies definitely cheered me up some what but now I am ready to get into bed with tea and chocolate and I think it's going to have to be a DVD night.

I BOUGHT TOO MUCH MAKE-UP

This week I received a pretty big ELF order (yes, another one...) and I was just going to do an ELF haul post for you. However, I went to town today (it was payday after all - and my first of being back on a full time wage!) and I may have popped into Superdrug so I decided just to combine all my recent make-up purchases for you. How lucky for you!

I will start with my ELF goodies though. I've done a couple of ELF hauls before and you'll know by now that I really love the brand. So cheap and the products and usually always fab! They had an offer on that if you spent £20 you could get a free goodie bag of products worth £25. That is an offer I was not willing to let slip by. So, when the huge box arrived the other day I was dying to see what was inside it.

When I opened the box to see all of this, I did a little squeal and it was honestly better than Christmas.

First, the products I actually ordered. I restocked on the Maximum Coverage Concealer that I reviewed here. I still have a good amount left but everytime I go on the ELF website, it's usually sold out so whilst it was in stock I thought I may as well stock up. I also got the mini eyelash curlers. I've had my eyelash curlers forever. Literally. I'm pretty sure I got them when I was about 11 in some rubbish gift set. I've been using these since I got them and oh my god! They are amazing! The clamp (is that the right word?!) is tiny so it doesn't cover the whole lash line but it make it so you can get into the corner lashes nicely. The result is amazing; they make my lashes seem even longer and really brightens my eyes.
I was intrigued by the Tone Correcting Powder. I got it in 'Cool' and I wore it today as my powder and my make up has stayed so nice all day. My face didn't go shiny at all and I didn't have any red bits poking through which sometimes happens. I may review this in a few weeks once I've got the hang of it!
I've been getting really in to blush lately and I keep wanting to try cream blushers so I got this one in the shade 'Flirt'. I haven't used it yet but so impressed with the size of it! I thought it would just be a little tub. My MUA eye primer is running out so picked this up and it's £1 cheaper than MUA! I'm not sure why I got he Clarifying Pressed Powder to be honest but I got the shade 'Ivory' and I tried it but it's way to yellow for me and I had to give it to my sister. And I finally got an ELF lipstick! I got the shade 'Fearless' which is a lovely red and it smells INCREDIBLE. It feels really nice to apply and it lasted a good couple of hours.

And this was my free goodie bag! I nearly bought the little eyeshadow duo so I was really pleased with that and the blush, which is in the shade 'Glow' is lovely and really pigmented - I've been wearing it today. It's sort of a blush/highlighter hybrid. I already have a Mineral Lip Tint in 'Cherry' so I was really happy to get this one in the shade 'Blush'. The eyeliner pen is something I can't make my mind up about. I don't usually like felt tip eyeliners but this has a really good, strong nib. It's in the shade 'Coffee' and I never wear brown eyeliners and it's also waterproof which I'm not a fan of but I'm going to give this a try and see how it goes.
The Luscious Liquid Lipstick is a pretty odd device. The colour is lovely but not sure I like the applicator all that much but I do enjoy trying lip products so hopefully I will love this.
The shimmer sheets were the things that scared me the most, particularly as they're in the shade 'Bronze' and the brown on the packaging made the think it was going to be so dark. They're actually just sheets with a bit of shimmer on them and you can just dab them on the top of the cheeks, or wherever you want to shimmery highlight. I tried it out of curiosity and it actually looks very pretty. Probably more at night time, not sure it would suit a day time look!
Not sure I can work with the green eyeliner and dark green eyeshadow and as for the wipes, they seem nice but not a fan of coconut so hopefully the smell isn't too strong.
Very decent goodie bag though! Thanks, ELF!

And then on to today's purchases. I went to Superdrug and then later on I went into Boots and saw they had buy one get one half price or something on all the make up. Gutted.

I needed a restock of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and the Collection concealer and there was an offer on that if you bought something from Collection you got a free nail polish too. I chose the shade '63 Shadow' which is a chocolate brown colour. There didn't seem to be much of a selection but free is free!
This year I've been trying different mascaras but it seems the Maybelline Falsies was my holy grail for a reason. I've gone back to it; no other mascara I tried gave as much length and volume as this baby. Maybelline also had an offer that you bought one thing and the second was half price so I decided on a Colour Tattoo in the shade 'On and On Bronze' which I know is a blogger favourite. I have the 'Permanent Taupe' one and I really like that one.
I've been wanting the Sleek Blush by 3 from the new Candy Collection since it was released. There's a cream blush and two powder blush in some lovely pink shade (see, told you I was liking blushers!) and Sleek have amazing blushes. They're so pigmented so very excited to try these out.
And finally I had no intention of ever buying the MUA Undress Me Too palette, which is supposed to be a Naked 2 dupe. I have the Undressed palette by them (a supposed dupe of Naked) but I walked past the stand, it caught my eye and the next thing it was in my hand and then I was at the till. I really like the new white packaging though!

And on that note this is my formal notice of make-up ban. I have completely ran out of room. I have come to realise that I don't actually need anything else so I am going to use up everything I have. I promise to be good and unless something like foundation etc runs out I won't buy anything! So bloggers, please can you not hype anything for a while so I don't get tempted..!

BANK HOLIDAY HAULING

How lovely is the weather today?! Pretty much unheard of for a bank holiday weekend, surely? Even more unheard of is that I actually have the bank holiday off work! And as I mentioned in the previous post, I have a new job. I leave my current one on Thursday so today was the only, and last chance, I had to use my staff discount card so I had to go and take advantage of that...

A good half of it was me actually (kind of...) being sensible and buying work clothes. And I also bought my sister some things from Topshop but on to my purchases..!

I wrote in the last post how I was after a striped top and I took a trip to the retail park a couple of days ago and found it in there. The stripes are navy but they're very close to being black so I won't feel too out of order by wearing black at the same time as it.
I picked up the grey jersey skater dress today. I already have it in a deep purple and I practically live in it so thought it made sense to buy another colour. They are the comfiest dresses ever.

I rarely buy anything from Miss Selfridge anymore but I saw this as I was leaving the store and I really like the cut out detail on the front. I was pretty impressed that it was only £18 full price too. As you can see though, the material is super crease-y, which I usually avoid, but it'll look nice with some of the other bits I bought today.

Then I popped into H&M. The burgundy top was £6.99 (I think) and it just a basic tee but I fell in love with the colour. Then another crease-prone blouse... The colour is a really pale baby blue; really nice and this will probably be at the work wear side of the wardrobe. I think this one was about £12.

Your eyes are not deceiving you, I have bought jeans!! This is a big deal. Really. I have some of the Dorothy Perkins black jeggings (which are actually super comfy and are really good quality) which I wear at work when it's just too early for me to function and pick something decent to wear but I never wear them when I'm out of work. I've been eyeing up the infamous Topshop Leigh jeans for a month or so now so I decided to try some today, and also be brave and get a light denim rather than black, and I actually really liked them. It did seem strange seeing me in jeans but the fit of them is quite similar to the aforementioned jeggings but they're even softer. I'm sure I'll feature them in an outfit post one day.

More trousers?! (Feels weird saying "trousers" instead of "pants" but I don't want to confuse any Southerners! ;) ) Pretty boring black trousers for work that I got from Dorothy Perkins. They're a skinny fit and actually feel really nice on.

Both these blazers were £11 in the Primark sale (only down from £15 like...) I've been wanting a few blazers for work but I want full sleeves and most are cropped sleeves. These are perfect for what I want. I didn't want black because I already have one and I wanted them to be quite lightweight and not too structured as well (not asking much clearly.) Absolutely love the blue one. The colour hasn't shown up as nicely on camera  but it is lovely.

And finally... of course I had to get a lipstick! I also had mentioned this in the wishlist post. I think I swatched all the lipsticks I don't already have. My hand looked ridiculous! I stuck with my original choice and bought the shade "Hazard".
I think I may have to listen to my friends now and stop buying lipstick. Definitely run out of room now.

So I am all spent up and have a new wardrobe ready for office work! Very very excited to properly start. I only have three shifts left in retail which does seem a little scary seeing as working in a shop is all I've done since I was 16 but onwards and upwards!

JUST ANOTHER ELF HAUL

I posted a little haul of things I bought from ELF way back in September and I have bought things from them since then and this week I found myself back on the website yet again and I saw there was a discount code running so this happened...

Angled Eyeliner Brush | Flat Eyeliner Brush | Lip Primer & Plumper | Nourishing Cuticle Pen | Blush 'Giddy Gold' | Healthy Glow Bronzer 'Matte Bronze' | Matte Lip Color 'Rich Red' & 'Coral'

ELF is an online makeup store that sell cheap, and actually good, makeup and brushes. Sure, you get the odd dud product but for the prices you can't grumble. Also, the delivery is super quick. Depending on what time you order, it generally comes the next day.

I already have quite a good few ELF brushes that I use all the time. The Angled Eyeliner Brush is from the Studio range and was £3.75 and the Flat one if from the Mineral range and is currently in the sale for £3. All the brushes I already have are from the Studio range and they're all so soft and they wash well but I'd never bought any of the Mineral brushes. At full price they are usually £6 which, is still crazy cheap, but decided to try this out. I have a couple of angled brushes I use for when I line the lid with eyeshadow but they aren't great so hopefully this will do a better job.

I've got really into doing my nails nicely and all this nail art jazz but I'm so bad at taking nail varnish off. I just pick at it until it's all off and my nails look a bit horrible now which makes me sad. This cost me a measly £1.50 so if it doesn't make them look nice and healthy it won't be the end of the world. I might review it when I've used it for a while!
I'm not sure why I bought the Lip Primer & Plumper. Probably because you had to spend over £20 to get 20% off. This cost £3.75 and one end is a primer for lipstick (there's primers for everything these days, isn't there?!) and the other end is one of those balm type things that make your lips all tingly and supposedly makes them seem fuller. I hate my thin lips so we'll see how we get on with this.

These Matte Lip Colo(u)rs are also from the Studio line and are usually £3.75 but they were in the sale at £2.50. I bought these after watching one of Emma Pickles videos were she raved the 'Rich Red' one. She said that they last all day and posted a photo on Instagram of the wear of it and I say you can never have too many lip colours so I bought two. The 'Coral' one doesn't seem all that coral. It's definitely more of a peachy-nude but still seems pretty. Looking forward to trying them out.

When they bronzer arrived, I was a bit scared by the colour. It seems a lot darker than I thought it would be but I swatched it and it doesn't seem over pigmented so it should be okay as a contour powder. This again was inspired by Emma as I noticed she uses it for contouring and she looks incredible. This was £1.50 too so cheap enough to try out. I can always give it my sister if it is too dark for my Casper skin.
Finally, the blush is in the shade 'Giddy Gold' and was also £3.75. The colour is impossible to take a photo of but I was also quite scared of it when it arrived. I was imagining it more to be a highlighter shade but it seems really orange. When I swatched it though the colour was really lovely. I've got other ELF blushes and I really like those so hopefully this will be just as good. I love how they've put their logo into the blush now as well. The other I have doesn't have that.

There's a code on the ELF Facebook page which lasts all of May if any of you want any new goodies for yourself.

MINI BOOTS HAUL

Today is my 21st birthday! I've got this week off work but I've not really got any plans. I'm going out for tea later with my family and I'm going out for a meal on Friday night with my friends which I'm looking forward to.
After I got myself ready and opened my cards, I took myself to the retail park in the hope of finding a new dress for Friday however there didn't seem to be anything I was drawn to so I went to Boots instead and it's safe to say I was drawn to too much in there.
I received a Boots gift card off my friend too so in my head that meant I could spend a little bit more. Looking at the stuff I've bought, I was very well restrained and I did have more in my basket prior to getting to the checkout. Also, Boots have 3 for 2 on makeup and hair care and a few other things and that makes my brain feel like I need it all.

Here is what I actually ended up buying...

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash | Revlon Lip Butter 'Macaroon' |Good Things Eye Cream | Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask | Ecotools Airbrush Concealer Brush | No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation 'Calico'

I remember a while ago seeing Zoella talking about how much she loved this. I've only ever used a Soap & Glory eyeliner (which I didn't like) but I've never tried any of their body stuff. I think mainly because my more local Boots doesn't stock it. Anyway, I smelt this and OH MY GOD. I cannot wait to use it. It's very sweet and lime-y and I can't do it any justice in words. Just go smell it. They had an offer on that if you spent £10 on any Soap & Glory you got some body butter free. The body butter was actually worth over £10 on it's own but I didn't really like the smell of it and I never end up using those products so I held back from making myself spend a few extra quid just to get that!

I've never used this range before but I've heard good things. I read on Helen's blog only yesterday about the face mask. The Good Things range has been made for young skin and I keep getting random breakouts still so hopefully this will help in some way. This range was also on a 2 for £6 offer and the face mask was £5.99 so it would be ridiculous not to get something else. Decided on an eye cream because I always neglect this part from my skincare routine. Again it was £5.99 but I basically got it for free.

My foundation is about to run out and I've raved many times about how much I love this. I got matched back in September to the shade Cool Vanilla but I've started to notice it looking a bit too dark so the lady at the No7 counter told me just to get the shade lighter (the lightest one!) which is called Calico. She explained that at this time of year is when your skin is the lightest so going down a shade will help. I don't feel like the shade of my pale skin ever gets any darker or lighter but I must be wrong. Hopefully this will tone down the orange-ness I feel like I've been sporting recently. Never a good look!

I have a eye shadow blending brush by Ecotools and I love it. I saw this and it seems even more fluffier so it's going to be lovely for blending. It does say that it's for concealer but I very much doubt I'll use it for that purpose. I usually just use my fingers or the Real Techniques Buffing Brush for concealer.
This was part of the 3 for 2 so I ended up getting this for free alongside the Lip Butter and the foundation.

I already have a lip butter in the shade Candy Apple. I've been looking at the one in Macaroon for a while. Mainly, the name drew me in because I am obsessed with those things! It's probably a good job nowhere near where I live actually sells them. It's a lovely dark pink-nude kind of colour and being the lip butter it's going to be really moisturising for the lips too. I was so late on the Revlon lip products bandwagon but I totally get the hype!

So that was all I picked up from Boots today. I could have spent a hell of a lot more money!

And a quick face of the day... (really bad quality photo I'm afraid!)

Nivea Express Hydration Primer
GOSH Velvet Touch Primer
No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation 'Cool Vanilla'
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer 'Fair'
MAC Mineralised Skin Finish Natural 'Light'
MUA Bronzer 'Shade 3'
Sleek Blush 'Rose Gold'
Bourjois Liner Clubbing 'Ultra Black'
L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara 'Black'
Benefit Brow-zings 'Dark'
Rimmel Lip Pencil 'Black Tulip'
Rimmel x Kate Moss Matte Lipstick '107'

MAKE-UP HAUL

Howdy!
I thought I'd just show you some of the bits of make-up I've bought over the last couple of weeks. I'm sure there's actually more than this but I'm staring at all my make-up and I can't even think what stuff I've bought that's new or old. Which probably is a sign I buy too much.

Sleek 'Au Naturel' Palette | Rimmel 3 in 1 Powder Blush in '004 Winter Glow' | ELF Blush in 'Peachy Keen' | ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer in 'Porcelain' | Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation '103 True Ivory' | B. Even Skintone Corrector | Rimmel Apocolips in 'Big Bang' | Garnier Roll-On | L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara in 'Black' | L'Oréal False Lash Telescopic Mascara in 'Magnetic Black' | Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in '005 Nude' | MUA Lip Liner in 'Pink Me Up'

So yeah, this is just a collection of products I've bought over the last month and I'm sure a few of them will be in my January Favourites (which I will hopefully post one day this week.)

I totally love Sleek makeup and I already have the Storm palette but I've wanted the Au Naturel one for so long and finally managed to get it. Usually it's always sold out and this was the last one at the time too. The colours are so pretty and I like that the shades have names unlike the Storm palette.

Couple of blushes, next. The 3 in 1 Rimmel blush I got for £1/2 (I can't fully remember) from the Boots clearance shelf. If you haven't been to your local Boots and seen this then get yourself there now! I've picked up so many bargains this last month from it. I even got so Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo for 30p! The colour pay off from the blush is beautiful and the pigmentation is amazing too.
I only got the ELF blush a couple of days ago but the colour is very pretty and I definitely want more ELF blushes now. Also, in the ELF order I made I got the Maximum Coverage Concealer. Today was the first day I've used it and I'm very impressed. I think I may do a review on this once I've used it more, actually.

Rimmel is probably my favourite drugstore brand on the whole so after seeing people rave about the Wake Me Up Foundation for so long I decided to try it (and it was on offer in Boots). I can't decide on my opinion yet though. I prefer matte finishes and this is a dewy finish. Maybe it will be a better foundation for summer so I'll keep trying it for a while yet but as it stands, I am reaching for my No.7 foundation more than this.
The Rimmel Apocolips however... wow! I bought it a couple of days ago and IN LOVE. Just as the entire blogging world seems to be. It's sort of a cross between a lipstick and lipgloss but not sticky like a lipgloss. They've been compared to the YSL Glossy Stains but I don't have one of those to be able to comment. The colour I have (Big Bang) is a really bright red. So lovely! Definitely recommend and I'm probably going to end up with more colours.

This B. make-up and skincare range is new to Superdrug. I got a sample of the eye cream through my letter box the other day and I have only used it twice but I really like it. I went to look at the whole range and picked up with Skintone Corrector because I'm really unhappy with mine! Hopefully this will do the job it says. I will keep you posted.
The Ganier Roll-On is another majorly hyped product and as it was half price in Superdrug I decided to try it. I'm not overly sold on it so I'm glad I didn't pay full price. It's quite soothing on the skin when you apply it but the coverage is too light for my liking and I can't see a difference in coverage dark circles unless I use it with another concealer.

And lastly a couple of mascaras. For the past few years I have been ever faithful to Maybelline's Falsies mascara and I have been wanting to try out different ones but I don't want to be disappointed and then have to keep using it because mascaras are too expensive to throw out, in my opinion. I saw the L'Oréal Telescopic in the clearance shelf in Superdrug for £4.99 instead of the usual £10.99 price tag so I couldn't ignore that bargain. I've used it a couple of times and I really like the wand of it. I don't think it gives the same volume but I do really like it and it does a good job of my bottom lashes (which I don't think the Maybelline does). I ended up going back to get the False Lash Telescopic and I'm yet to use that, and I am going to try hold off until I've used all my current mascaras, but I am excited by it! Let me know if you use it.

I have just realised that one thing I forgot to photograph was an eyeshadow palette by MUA. It is the 'Starry Night' palette which I got from the Superdrug clearance for £2 because one of the eyeshadows was cracked! I cleaned it up and there's still some of the eyeshadow in the pan but to be honest it's a colour I probably won't use so that's another bargain!

PAYDAY HAUL #2

Today I had the day off work and had every intention of getting the bulk of my Christmas shopping done. Now obviously, that was never going to happen. Instead I spent money on myself. Lots of money. Oh boy.
I did by ONE present though so it's okay... I'll tell myself that anyway.

I bought the bag a few days ago after I mentioned here I wasn't overly happy with my current bag. I love this one though. So classy and it had 30% off (plus I get a little staff discount on top of that.) and it has a long strap which makes my life so much easier.
I also got the Real Techniques Core Collection the other day because they were reduced to around £15 on Amazon. That works out at under £4 a brush so that is awesome. I've already used a couple of them so sorry they're already a bit grubby on the photo. I can already tell the buffing brush is going to be in the upcoming favourites post!

So on to today and the first stop was Superdrug. Their 3 for 2 across all cosmetics ends tomorrow and I was determined not to miss out. My local Superdrug doesn't have all the brands so I had to go elsewhere to get to one with a Sleek stand. I've been dying to get hold of the Rose Gold blush for so long but it was sold out everytime I went to larger stores. Managed to get the last one in stock today though! I also got the Sleek Dip-It eyeliner, Sleek True Colour Matte lipstick in the shade 'Vamp' and I finally caved and bought a Revlon Lip Butter in 'Candy Apple'.
Also picked up a new Simple toner which I love and my first bottle of it has lasted me nearly 3 months so well worth the money. And finally got the Nivea Express Hydration Primer which I am dying to try out. I had to get it fro dry/sensitive skin as the normal was sold out but my skin has got a little drier this last month or so, so it may be useful.
In Boots I found the Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry after every other Superdrug/Boots I've been in in the past month didn't have it. Such a lovely colour. And I think I should go on a lipstick buying ban now...
And I also got some new foundation but in the Beautifully Matte formula as opposed to the Stay Perfect.
Then the ultimate bargain of the day... got the 3 Models Own nail polishes for £5.99 in TK Maxx! Considering they're £5 on their own that is incredible. They're in the shades 'Peach Puff', 'Gold Digger' and 'Champagne'. I very nearly bought an Essie set which had 4 polishes in for £9.99. Considering they're £7.99 on they're own, I wish I had done now!

Just got two casual tops from Topshop. A beautiful plum coloured scalloped hem one and just a light purple tee which will be great for just throwing on with a black skirt and a cardi. The one on the left was £15 and the right was £16.

Clearly, I am really adventurous when it comes to colour... Got this huge chunky jumper in Primark's men's section. I bought some spike studs off eBay a while back that I haven't used yet so I may get creative with that. The dress cost me £15 which I'm not overly keen at paying in Primark but it looks lovely on and I know I'll have regretted not buying it in the long run.

Also in Primark I got some earrings and a new phone case. Primark's iPhone cases are actually really nice and very cheap too. (Though I only have a month left on my contract and I'm planning on upgrading to the iPhone 5 so this may have been a silly purchase...)
Finally, I decided this past week that I now am a little obsessed with Example despite never liking him all that much before so I bought 2 of his albums as they were on the HMV offer. If anyone has his new one let me know if it's good because his music isn't on Spotify.

Now I'm all spent up and still haven't done Christmas shopping!
