HAIR TRAINING

Four years ago I was washing my hair every single day as well as drying and straightening it and I was dying it around every 6 weeks. I used to dye it purple for a while but it didn't stay intense for more than 2 weeks so I used to re-dye all the time before dying it dark brown.
This all resulted in my hair not being in all that great condition. I had a head full of split ends and as I had faux-dark hair, the little white ends were so noticeable and it was quite frankly disgusting.

One day I just decided that I'd abused my hair for long enough and it was time to fix it. I've FINALLY got to a point were I really like how it looks and it's in good condition but it was a very very long process...

HAIR CUT

Last week I took the plunge and got a lot of my hair cut off. I spent so long trying to get it long but I have been getting bored and even after 2 and a half years of not dying my hair, it was still growing out and I've always hated that it looked like I'd dip dyed it.

I'm a huge Alexa Chung fan. I love her style and her book is great. So after a lot of Pinterest searching of her I decided to just go and get my hair cut to that length too. And I love it! My hair is naturally wavy and I thought going short would make it bounce up too much but it's just how I wanted it to be.

BEAUTY HAULIN'!

So I may have been a little bit naughty and in a very short amount of time I have spent a littttttttle bit of money. Not that i need to justify this but I haven't really spent anything for a while and it's my birthday tomorrow so i think a few treats are okay!
I have only purchased some of these things today so I can't give any full reviews but I'm sure they'll feature at some point in my Review Posts.

HAIRSPIRATION: BRAIDS

Over the last two years I have stopped attacking my hair with straighteners (bar my fringe), I haven't used a hair dryer or dyed my hair and now my hair is in such a better condition and has finally got to a length that I want it.

I've recently found myself constantly putting little braids in my hair. Sometimes purposely. Other times, through boredom and I don't even realise I'm doing it. I've also cracked the fishtail plait! But as my hair is still in the process of growing out layers, they don't always look that great.

So yeah, I've found myself getting a little braid obsessed and so here is a bit of "hairspiration" for you for some cute and simple hairstyles.
