OSCAR'S 2015: FAVOURITE LOOKS

The Oscar's took place on Sunday night and as is tradition in this corner of the Internet, here are my favourite looks from the night.

In regards to the awards themselves, I am super happy Eddie Redmayne won. The Theory of Everything is one of the best films I have seen recently. I sobbed... a lot.
Also, Patricia Arquette's speech was wonderful and you should go find it on YouTube if you haven't seen it.

I don't do these posts in any particular order but Emma Stone had the best dress, hands down. She wore Ellie Saab and I cannot stop looking at the beauty of her and the dress. I am obsessed.

MET BALL 2014: BEST DRESSED

The MET Ball is an annual event in New York where everyone who is everyone attends and the fashion stakes are high. This years theme was centred around Charles James, known as America's "best known couturier", so the expectations for class and extravagance where pretty high. The men were also given a strict white tie dress code this year.

I loved so many dresses this year so here they all are...

OSCARS 2014: BEST DRESSED

The 86th Academy Awards took place last night were Gravity came up trumps and another disappointment face from Leo. (One day, baby. One day...)

One of the biggest and most prestigious award shows in the world, so the stars enjoy a bit of dress up and here's who I think totally nailed it this year.

Lupita Nyong'o has absolutely dominated awards season. She's looked perfect on every red carpet. Absolute goddess. She got her mitts on a custom made Prada gown as well as Best Supporting Actress last night.

BAFTAS 2014: BEST DRESSED

Awards Season is in full swing and usually I would do a Best Dressed post for them all but this year I decided I would just do the Oscars in a few weeks. The BAFTAs took place last night and I was very impressed with a lot of outfits (and Angelina Jolie's beautiful face) so here we go..!

Angelina Jolie & Lupita Nyong'o

Fearne Cotton & Helen Mirren

Olga Kurylenko & Oprah Winfrey

I'm never usually the biggest Angelina Jolie fan but I have become obsessed with her over the last 24 hours. She just looked so stunning! She rocked her custom made Saint Laurent tux so hard and her skin was so radiant. Fierce.
Also have a new girlcrush in the form of Olga Kurylenko. Helped termendously by the Burberry gown.

And then Gwendoline Christie's dress was not very BAFTAs but I thought she looked way to bloody cute to not include her. What a doll!

Who's red carpet looks were your favourite?

THE MET BALL 2013: BEST DRESSED

The Met Ball is the fashion event of all fashion events and anyone who is anyone attends in the most amazing dress they can get their hands on. The Met Ball is takes places every year to celebrate the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit in New York City. This year the attendees where told the theme was 'Punk: Chaos to Couture'. When I heard this I got a bit worried thinking the red carpet might end up looking like the late 70's threw up all over it with everyone in tartan with piercings and studs everywhere and crazy mohican hair styles...
Some of the guests just stuck to their gorgeous dresses but some really took to the theme and interpreted it in their own way and there's so many I just love!

These are going to be in no order really but Anne Hathaway was definitely my complete favourite of the night.

I love how it isn't a typical Anne choice of outfit but she rocks it so hard! And the new blonde hair looks incredible on her too. She was wearing Valentino and I think she looks just incredible and sexy.

Face of Burberry, Cara Delevingne, wore the brand and I love it! The plunging neckline is great on her too.

Kate Bosworth's Balmain dress is just too pretty.

Michelle Williams wore a black Saint Laurent with a lovely dip hem.

Blake Lively in Gucci. Just look at that train!

Rooney Mara was very vamp-chic in Givenchy Haute Couture.

The always beautiful Kate Beckinsale in Alberta Ferretti.

Can't tell you how much I envy this girl's wardrobe. Hailee Steinfeld is 16 and got to be the face of a Mui Mui campaign and she wore a Donna Karen dress for the MET Ball this year.

And another wardrobe I'm envious of... Taylor Swift wore J Mendel. I love all the detailing of this one.

Game of Thrones beauty, Emilia Clarke wore a red gown by Ralph Lauren.

Model Jourdan Dunn wore Topshop. (I can't seem to find a red carpet photo of her on her own, sorry!)

And Miranda Kerr looked smoking hot in a cut-out Michael Kors dress.

Who were your favourites from the MET Ball? Anyone I've not mentioned?

ACADEMY AWARDS 2013 - BEST DRESSED

When it comes to awards season I used to do a top 5 best dressed on pretty much every award show but with lack of time and such I've decided to just do the main one and I'm just going to show you everyone who's outfits I loved, because ranking is always so difficult.

Having said that, I think my absolute favourite was Amanda Seyfried who wore a stunning Alexander McQueen gown.

Love all the detailing, the colour and she has super pretty make up just to top it all off.

Naomi Watts wore Armani with a unique neckline.

Catherine Zeta Jones looked so glam in Zuhair Murad.

Adore Zoe Saldana's Alexis Mabille Couture dress!

Getting a bit of a "space vibe" from Halle Berry's Versace number and I like it.

Probably tied with Amanda from ultimate best dressed actually. Amy Adams wore a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress also with very simple and pretty make up.

Sally Field stood out amongst all the neutral colours in a red Valentino gown. It was actually incredibly similar to Hilary Swank's dress, also by Valentino but I preferred Sally's.

The most beautiful colour worn by Jennifer Garner in Gucci Première.

Love the detailing of Giuliana Rancic's Rafeal Cennamo gown.

Kate Bosworth at the Vanity Fair after party in Giambattista Valli. I am obsessed with this dress. If only I could win the lottery!

The big themes across the Oscar red carpet this year seemed to be nude, embellishment and baroque prints. Make up, on the whole, was very basic and neutral as was hair with a lot of the stars opting for a simple up-do that wasn't hair sprayed solidly into place. I love this! Makes it easy for us common folk to be able to recreate their looks!

Who was your best dressed of the night?
